Simply Change Your Laptop or Computer - Make it Faster

When your laptop or computer looks like it's slowing, here are a couple alternatives for you to definitely investigate. I know what it's like if the computer lags and gets to slow to do anything. One big choice is adding Ram memory. Other options are to test for viruses and spyware and check errors using your computer.

If you notice that your computer is slowing, try adding some ram memory. Your first instinct could be to simply go out and buy a brand new computer but there are actually better options.. Using an increasing number of applications, using needed software and storage, suggests that your personal computer needs more memory to run fast and smooth without having hangups. Initially RAM of 1 or 2 GB was looked upon as enough for PCs and laptops but with the advent of new programs, software, video games and movies really 2 GB is definitely decreased With this situation it is best to get Ram that's around or above 4 gigs than buy a new computer or laptop. If you're going to get a new system like Windows or upgrade your operating system, it usually needs more memory. If your laptop or computer runs out of random access memory, it then goes and switches the data to the hard drive constantly, that then slows down your computer a lot.Diagnosis of a memory shortage is not difficult. We can check the till date usage of RAM by opening Windows Task Manager. A Ctrl+Alt+Del will display' Task Manager' popup you will then see the "performance" option at the top. You can look under ‘Available' and ‘Physical Memory' if it is nearing zero, then you are in trouble and the performance of your system would be extremely slow. At the bottom of the frame of this Task Manager window, you can see ‘Physical Memory' followed by the percentage of the memory used. Have a look and if it's showing a percentage near 100 then you need either more ram or it could be other problems. If you're just browsing the web and checking email you probably won't need an upgrade.. RAM comes in many types such as DDR, DDR2, and DDR3, have a look at your computer manual and see what type you need as there are different RAM slots for different computers. Make sure to see how the RAM is supposed to be installed, most manuals should have that information. Other reasons could be in play other than RAM that you might want to check out. Some other things to try before buying new RAM are checking for viruses, removing old programs, cleaning up errors and more. Viruses and spyware are a big culprit in this, make sure to run spyware and virus programs often. Next, if you have a PC go to computer, then to uninstall or change program and remove programs you don't use. Try those out, also you can get some great cleaning tools to help you and potentially fix a lot of problems.. I would say try the cleaning and removing old programs and if that's not enough than have a look at Random Acces Memory or a new Computer or Laptop.. Listed above are the most common factors that will slow a computer or laptop down, give them a try and see if that clears things up. If none of those work you can always buy a new computer or laptop but have a look it doesn't hurt!

Auctioning

I wanted to write about auctioning and some tips to auctioning.   You can use this on a site like eBay or even live auctions.  Hopefully I can give you a few pointers on things.

Tips on Buying for Auctions.

  1. Check some random auctions out first to get an idea of what's happening, that way you can feel comfortable when you actually bid on something.  This apply's to eBay and other auctions like that.
  2. Have a plan - If you go with a plan of how much you want to spend it's way better, trust me.  You don't want to get caught up in the excitement only to realize you spent way too much.
  3. Make sure you know if they're selling things as is or the conditions of the sale and things like that, you want to know all the little details also.
  4. They usually have a pamflet that you can read through first for live auctions or check out the faq of an ebay auctions, they're boring but pricless and will help you in the long-run.
  5. Do your homework, if you have an idea of what you want to buy research it's prices and make sure you don't over pay for things, that's the last thing you want to find out is how little your item is really worth.
Ok on to some selling tips for auctioning.

  1. Make sure you have a great picture, we all know the saying about picture and a 1k words.  It's true you can have a great product with a bad picture and it won't get much interest.
  2. Pick a niche, you don't need to in order to be successful but you will have an edge if you do.   If you have repeat buyers because you were just sticking to furniture than you can become the go to person for furniture online or offiline.
  3. Auctioning off items with the greatest diversity of payment methods will help,   Because some will want to use paypal, some checks (just make sure you get paid first) and some Plimus or other third party payment systems.
  4. Don't lie! It may sound great to over play your item but if you do you will not only get bad reviews but word could spread.  Especially if your in a niche, to stay away from that person cuz he lies about his crappy products.  Be upfront and people will appreciate it.
Those are some quick tips about auctioning, hope you enjoyed.  You can find more info or a list of auctions sites at Auction Sites Other Than Ebay
